Planting Garlic In Utah - October Is The Time!
Now is the time to plant garlic here on the Wasatch Front. Check out this post I wrote about garlic for information about growing garlic, where to get it and how to plant it. The good news is - garlic grows very well here and it is easy! Garlic will thrive with a 1" layer of manure over the top of the soil after planting.
garlic bulbs - break them up into cloves before you plant them
garlic cloves spaced 8" apart and ready for planting
plant the garlic clove with flat side down and the pointy end up; about 4" - 5" deep
